Rosalie Waelen – ESR13

Rosalie Waelen ESR13
Hi there! My name is Rosalie Waelen. I’m doing my PhD at the University of Twente, under the supervision of Philip Brey. The aim of my PhD project is to analyze the ethical implications of video analytics in terms of power. Within PROTECT I am part of the working group on the ethics of personalization.
Before starting my PhD in the Netherlands, my home country, I studied in Belgium, Czech Republic and Sweden. I hold a BA in Philosophy and Political Science (KU Leuven), a MA in Philosophy (KU Leuven) and a MA in Applied Ethics (LiU).
My main interest and the focus of my research is the ethics of AI, but I am also interested in bio-medical ethics, environmental ethics, global justice, and political philosophy.
